Children's disorders - ADD, ADHD, Learning Disorders, Dyslexia, Autism and other neurological disorders + what we can see in the astrology chart.
ADD - ADHD - learning difficulties - children's problems - Taylor O'Brien + Noel Eastwood - (please click to go to the Youtube presentation so that you can better understand the images and highlighted notes below)
Astrology can be used as a guide to personality traits and neurological functions and disorders. It is not an accurate nor accepted method and should NEVER be used for psychological diagnosis.
** ADD inattentive - heavy on Water and sometimes Air signs, planets (Moon, Mercury, Neptune), and houses (1st, 3rd, 12th), day dreamy, difficulty focusing on one thing
** ADHD hyperactive impulsive - common with both heavy Fire and Air charts - houses 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, 11th + planets Sun, Mars, Jupiter,
** Learning Difficulties/Dyslexia/Dyspraxia/Auditory Processing Disorder/ Sensory Processing Disorder/Memory - styles of learning:
- visual learners, auditory learners/phonetic, kinesthetic learners, visuo-spatial sketch pad and auditory working memory
- English language is difficult with many mismateched means to spell and pronounce words, German, Italian and many other languages have very few children in schools with learning difficulties
** The brain learning and language centres - image
** spectrum theory of neurological disorders - image
** Autism/Aspergers - not easy to see in astrology as it is a combination of many genetic and environmental variables, I would not use astrology to diagnose autism.
** Separation Anxiety
** Behaviour probs
** IQ - brainwaves, populations breed back to the norm - image
*** What to do?
- Neurofeedback - biofeedback, neuroplasticity - see our upcoming presentation on the brain and neurological issues
- diet critical - leaky gut syndrome + allergies particularly to dairy; soothing music in background; vitamin+mineral suppliments; setting strong boundaries and limits to their behaviour; behaviour programs like 1,2,3 Magic+Star Charts for rewarding appropriate behaviour; permissive parenting does not work with these children and can make things worse; create lots of notes + lists (visual/written reminders don't disappear like words do); minimise excessive neural stimulation (TV, video games, noise); exercise and ball/balance skills; guided meditations and self-hypnosis. Self regulate their own behaviour. Routines.
